North and South Merged

It gives me the greatest pleasure to announce
the merger of the Northern
California / Northern Nevada and the Pacific Southwest Regions
(PSW) to form a new California and Nevada Region.
Rainer Maria Rilke wrote, "The
future enters into us in order to transform us, long before it
happens." The future certainly entered into my predecessor,
Grethe Tedrick, in 1988 when she was inspired to form the Northern
California / Northern Nevada Region. Years later she started fundraising
for a West Coast Center. She has transformed not only herself
but thousands of people who have been exposed to the Edgar Cayce
legacy by this dynamic presence on the West Coast.
A couple of years after the formation
of the Northern California/NorthernNevada Region, the late Helen
Ruth Schroeder met with a group of volunteers and A.R.E. members
in her living room in Anaheim, California. They established the
PSW Region (including Southern California and Southern Nevada),
expanding the Cayce Work south to the Mexican border. Helen Ruth
was the first PSW Region Coordinator and continued in that position
until November of 2000. She also established the first Youth Camp
at Asilomar in 1963 which continues to be a highly anticipated
event to this day. Dorothy Smothermon, current PSW Region Coordinator
has graciously offered to step aside. Now these two Regions are
merging to become the dynamic California and Nevada Region.
Breaking spiritual ground on a West
Coast Center begins in consciousness as we turn this soil, freeing
the dynamic energy that lies beneath the surface. Opening ourselves
to the positive power in change, we plant a seed in faith, trusting
the Creator will bring about the growth.
I invite you to partner with the
California and Nevada leadership in prayer and action.
In so doing we can create an amazing expansion of service and
increase capacity for outreach. Our A.R.E presence will grow through
the love of the Work and love for one another.
How can you partner with us to manifest
these amazing outcomes? The practical steps to take in this process
are:
- Pray, meditate, visualize, and affirm the
A.R.E of California and Nevada's expanded prosperity
and service to mankind, bringing Peace to all.
- Introduce
a friend to the work of the A.R.E. Expose them to an opportunity
to learn, heal, regenerate and prosper as they grow in consciousness
through the wisdom contained in the Readings.
- Contribute
to this work in time, talent and treasure. Make a commitment
and pledge as freely as you've received.
- Join one of the many Region
Area Teams to serve in whatever capacity you're able.
- Study
the Readings to expand your spiritual nature and raise your
consciousness.
- Be the first to reach out to someone you
meet at a program
but have yet to know. Welcome and embrace all who are drawn
to this Work.
- Start locally but think globally.
- Serve where you are.
