 Northern Area Book Store Coordinator

Our current Book Store Coordinator has requested to step down from this responsibility. We are looking for someone who is willing to take over or to become part of a Bookstore Team with a division of duties. The Book Store Coordinator is responsible for providing A.R.E. Books and products at all programs and developing sales through other means. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory and completing all reports.  

 Duties include:
1) Maintain inventory of all books, products and audio-visual materials owned by Region/Area Team.

2) Provide Cayce-related books, products and audio-visual materials to sell at each program.

Contact speakers for each program to determine which titles they recommend stocking and order in the appropriate amount for the estimated attendance. Be sure to find out if they will bring their own CDs, DVDs, etc. These may be sold at programs provided the speaker recognizes the 60-40 rule. Speaker gets 60% of sales and bookstore keeps 40%.

As long as Malcolm Smith, the healer, comes to the area maintain a supply of Spiritual Power, Healing Hands. Available only from Author House.

 3) Do end of year inventory and replacement valuation.

It is important to make a physical inventory as close as possible to December 31.
Calculate the replacement value of the inventory. This involves knowing the source of each item and the discounted price paid for it.

4) Return of unsold books or discount for SALE list.

Return unsold speaker requested books or items as soon as possible after the program unless they are also A.R.E. titles which could be sold at subsequent programs.

Keep track of credits owed for returned items and be sure they are used for the next order with that provider.

 5) Discounted sale list. 

Prepare a list of books, products and a/v products for discounted sales.  Post the list on the web-site, with help of webmistress/master, and encourage use via frequent mentions in E-GRAM and Golden Gateway.  Mail sale items to those who purchase them.

 6) Supplies.  Maintain supply of bags, labels, sales slips, etc. as needed.

 7) Must learn how to operate and maintain the cash register and credit card machine.
